KIPPINGTON ROAD

KIPPINGTON ROAD

CHALLENGE

This beautiful property in Sevenoaks needed a complete renovation. The previous owners had lived in it for many years without any remedial work, leaving the house in desperate need of TLC. This left the new owner, our client, with the daunting task of a full renovation, which included multiple extensions, internal alterations and loft conversion.

RESPONSE

Our client spent many years abroad in Australia and had become accustomed to inside-outside spaces and large open-plan arrangements full of natural light. Our first idea revolved around the removal of the entire rear wall to open the house onto the garden. The internal works, combined with a rear extension, enabled a fluid transition from the house to the garden.

A new staircase position enabled us to access the loft in a continuous flight of stairs, fitted with an air-conditioned wine cellar on the ground floor.
