Bullfinch Lane
Coleman Anderson Architects helped us through a 18+ month process which involved demolishing a bungalow and starting a new house build from scratch. Stuart and the team were fantastic and we were delighted with the service we received. They designed a house which really fitted the brief, light and open with all the key things on our bucket. Appointed throughout the build process as contract administrator – completing inspections throughout the build process to quality check and address issues that ... Bullfinch Testimonial -
Byng Road
We approached Coleman Anderson to help with the design & build of a two storey back & side extension. They helped us through the process; design, consultation, advising us on building contractor selection, contracts, planning and materials. We felt in very capable hands and are absolutely delighted with the end result. We love our dream house! A huge thanks to Oliver in particular for being a calm, constant & talented presence through our building journey. ... Byng Road -

We are very pleased with the service we received from Coleman Anderson throughout the significant refurbishment of our large Victorian home. The team produced a number of interesting ideas for the design of our project which we discussed in some detail before “pressing the button” on our preferred solution. We have no reservations in highly recommending Coleman Anderson for a project such as ... Somerville Gardens -
Claremont Avenue
We feel so incredibly fortunate that we chose to work with Coleman Anderson on our renovation project. They made the whole process such an enjoyable one. From initial drawings, to bringing our ideas to life, accommodating all of our 'needs' 'must have's' 'wants' and 'pleeeeease find a way' requests. We couldn't be happier with the end result and we pinch ourselves most days that we are now living in our forever dream home that they helped create. Transparency, honesty and ... Claremont

Everyone should have a secret bar 😉
Not a cabinet in the corner. A proper room behind a door you’d walk past without noticing.
A quiet threshold off the lounge, then walnut panelling, joinery made for the space, integrated storage for wine and glassware, and lighting that sets the tone the moment you step in.
It starts as a space with potential and a plan. It ends as the best room in the house.
Stay to the end for the finished room.

A Grade II listed hotel. Nine apartments carved into it.
This is where it started (pigeons included)
The Royal Oak in Sevenoaks had been dormant for years before the project began.
Late Georgian fabric still intact under decades of decline, but a long way from being anyone’s home.
The brief was to bring it back into use without losing what made it worth saving.
Nine apartments and a separate townhouse, all held inside the original envelope. The grand entrance hall and staircase restored. Original mouldings carried through every floor. Contemporary finishes layered in where they earned their place.
Transformations like this don’t start with design. They start with a slow look at what’s already there, what can be saved, and what the building will accept.

A house of two characters.
Warren House holds two moods in one home.
The front keeps its traditional character, a panelled hallway, a classic study, deep and calm.
Then you round the corner and it opens into a bright contemporary kitchen and dining space, with the garden pouring in through floor to ceiling glass.
Most homes pick one aesthetic and repeat it.
This one does something harder. It holds the traditional and the contemporary together, and makes the journey between them the whole point.
A full renovation and extension of a traditional home in a rural village in East Sussex, designed as one idea from the architecture to the interiors.

“It will look good when it’s finished.”
Every project spends time in the awkward middle. Walls open, services exposed, nothing yet where it will end up.
The skill is holding the finished room in your head when there’s no sign of it in front of you.
Here, that room was a bar. A secret sliding door off the lounge, walnut panelling, joinery made for the space, integrated storage for wine and glassware, and lighting that sets the tone the moment you step in.
The mess had a plan behind it the whole time.
Stay to the end for the secret door 👀
