Broadwater Bar
Brief
Coleman Anderson Architects and Coleman Anderson Interiors were appointed to create a bespoke bar within the client’s home—a sophisticated, private space designed for relaxation and entertaining. The ambition was to deliver a luxurious yet intimate environment that could operate independently from the main living areas, without disrupting the existing lounge.
Working in close collaboration with the client and Boffe Design, the brief centred on achieving a highly detailed and refined interior, drawing inspiration from some of the world’s finest champagne and cocktail bars to create a personal, exclusive experience within a domestic setting.
Response
The design introduces a carefully crafted cocktail bar, discreetly accessed via a pair of concealed doors within the lounge, allowing the space to be either fully integrated or completely private. Rich walnut panelling and bespoke joinery define the interior, with a meticulous level of detailing creating a sense of depth, warmth, and refinement.
A carefully curated material palette, paired with an integrated lighting strategy, enhances the overall atmosphere—subtly referencing high-end hospitality interiors while retaining a distinctly personal feel. The result is a luxurious and immersive setting that elevates the experience of entertaining at home.
We wanted to share a review of the fantastic service we received from Sam and the team at Coleman Anderson. Our project was quite unique, involving an extension with some innovative elements, and Sam’s ideas, insight, and input were truly invaluable throughout.
He ensured clear, joined-up communication between the contractors and all other parties involved, and his oversight and project management made the entire process feel well-coordinated and seamless. Once the designs were complete, we felt completely confident and supported—we were never left feeling uncertain or on our own at any stage.
We are absolutely delighted with both the design and the finished result, and would have no hesitation in recommending Sam and the Coleman Anderson team.
