CHALLENGE

Beau Property appointed us to explore the development potential of a site in Tunbridge Wells. The site hosted a pair of semi-detached houses, both with long gardens.

The brief was simple, maximise the development opportunity of the site!

RESPONSE

The site is located within the Tunbridge Wells Conservation Area, which dictated a response of high-quality design. The local vernacular included large detached houses, often constructed with brick. We referenced this within our design using subtle brickwork detailing to emphasise the gable ends of each property. The design of the dwellings show a beautiful blend of traditional form with contemporary details.

We achieved planning permission on the first attempt for 7 high-quality family homes.
