SAM NICHOLLS

ARCHITECT
BA(Hons), MArch, DipPP, ARB

Sam initially walked through the door of Coleman Anderson Architects for work experience as a summer intern during his Bachelor’s degree. Upon graduating from Newcastle University in 2017, Sam returned to the practice and has become an influential member of the team.

After completing his Part 1 placement year with the practice Sam made the decision to return to his studies to progress his architectural career further. Coleman Anderson Architects sponsored Sam through his Part 2 & 3 qualifications while he completed the Level 7 Apprenticeship Scheme at London South Bank University, qualifying in 2022.

Gaining professional experience alongside his studies enabled Sam to grow and establish himself within the profession en-route to becoming an Architect. With a passion for bespoke design, a keen eye for detail and a significant knowledge of construction Sam shows maturity and understanding way beyond his years.

While at the practice Sam has worked extensively across all work stages and has built a diverse and elaborate portfolio of projects which have been driven through his ambition to push the boundaries of innovation and engineering. He enjoys working closely with clients to design and create spaces and places that encourage healthy lifestyles and enhance daily environments with sustainability as a core design principle.

His other passions in life when he has time outside of his studies are rugby and golf. There aren’t many sports that he hasn’t tried his hand at but if it involves exercise and the outdoors you can guarantee he will be first in line.
