Brief

We were commissioned to design two new detached dwellings on a private road in Langton Green. The existing property, lacking architectural significance, was proposed for total demolition to make way for the new development. Our client’s goal was to maximise the site’s potential by creating high-quality family homes that would enhance their portfolio, and the local area.

Response

The design for each dwelling features a sophisticated blend of contemporary open-plan living and spacious, well-appointed bedrooms across three levels.

On the ground floor, the layout includes a flexible family living area with a welcoming entrance hall, a formal sitting room, a cloakroom, a utility room, and an expansive open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area at the rear, designed to facilitate seamless indoor-outdoor living. The first floor accommodates a generous guest suite with a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom, complemented by three additional double bedrooms and a family bathroom. The second floor is dedicated to a luxurious master suite, featuring a dressing room, a dedicated work-from-home zone, and a stylish en-suite bathroom, offering a private retreat with elevated views.
